黎芷菁畢業於香港浸會大學音樂系，主修小提琴及作曲， 在大學期間表現優異，被學 校挑選在中央音樂學院的劉育熙教授之大師班中演奏。黎氏取得英國倫敦聖三一音樂 學院高級演奏文憑(LTCL)，及皇家音樂樂院八級樂理証書。 黎氏活躍於不同管弦 樂團，並隨各團到不同國家演出，包括維也納、德國、奧地利和捷克等。
黎氏有超過 10 年的教學經驗，她在多間中小學擔任小提琴導師及弦樂團指揮。 黎氏 現正於香港大學攻讀表現藝術治療碩士學位，學習使用藝術媒介來增進人類身心靈健 康。 她將治療習得的知識應用在教學中，讓學生擁有更健康和正向的音樂學習體驗。
黎氏擁有豐富的小提琴演出經驗。她在英國知名聲樂組合 IL DIVO 之演唱會中作現場 伴奏;2014 年，先後於叱吒樂壇流行榜頒獎典禮中演奏，以及太陽娛樂文化有限公司 之宣傳廣告中擔任樂手。此外，在香港扶輪會和婦女遊樂會之活動擔任表演嘉賓。
馮氏亦以小提琴手身分參與各項世界各地的音樂活動。包括2019年肯特盛放音樂節，並擔任音樂節樂團的首席、在2017年的紫荊杯弦樂二重奏公開組獲得冠軍、在2019年參與上海音樂學院國際室內樂中心第一屆室內樂節等等。
馮氏曾獲世界各地大師指導，包括陳浩堂教授，上海弦樂四重奏，Peter Otto先生, 香港管弦樂團首席王敬先生等。
Toby Lai graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree of Arts in Music and major in composition and violin. She had outstanding performance during her university years and was selected to perform in the master class instructed by Professor Liu Yuxi of the Central Conservatory of Music. Lai started her violin training at the age of six. She learned violin under Domas Jusky, Ray Tsoi and Jensen Lung. Lai obtained the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL), and the Grade 8 Music Theory Certificate from the Royal School of Music. Lai has vast experience performing globally with various well-established orchestras in Vienna, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
Lai has more than 10 years of teaching experience, serving as a violin instructor and string orchestra conductor in several secondary and primary schools. She is studying for a master’s degree in expressive art therapy at the University of Hong Kong. Through the study, she learns to use art modalities to enhance human well-
being. Lai applies therapeutic knowledge in teaching so that students can have a healthier and pleasant music learning experience.
Lai has rich violin performance experience, such as being an accompaniment in the concert of the renowned British vocal group IL DIVO; a musician of the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation (叱咤) and advertisement of Sun Entertainment Culture Ltd, as well as a guest performer at the events by Rotary Club, Ladies Recreation Club.
